COMPANY BACKGROUND
Formed in 1993 and situated in the
south part of Sheffield on a busy industrial estate, South Yorkshire
Welding & Engineering Supplies is ideally located to provide an
excellent service to the three surrounding counties of South
Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
Considerable expertise in all aspects
of welding products including an exclusive range of Welding
Electrodes manufactured in Germany by Kjellberg Finsterwalde
are available which covers the range from Carbon Steels, Stainless
Steel, Nickel Alloy and Maintenance & Repair.
Necessity to provide support and
technical advise for all welding processes, welding machines, health
& safety issues, welder training and qualifications is provided by
Alan Carr and Ian Shepherd.
Alan has spent his entire working life
in the welding industry covering fabrication in both aircraft and
nuclear industries and as a welding engineer for Stubs Welding Ltd (Warrington) for 12 years from 1981 – 1993.
It was during his time spent at Stubs
Welding that he met and worked alongside Ian Shepherd who was
technical sales based and later became Area Manager. Some years
later they teamed up to form a partnership that has grown steadily
to provide probably the most comprehensive service in South
Yorkshire.
